I liked when she focused on the quality of principals along with the quality of teachers. Too often, that is overlooked when it comes to quality of education. It's easy to beat up on teachers but there are plenty of inferior administrators out there too.
Of course my favorite was that paying teachers more does make for better education.

ReplyDeleteTeachers do benefit from watching each other. It's not something to do continuously, but yes, its a valid practice.
ReplyDeleteThe realistic aspects of the system is a topic we've discussed throughout our entire study.
ReplyDeleteShe had some good suggestions which I mentioned in other post. I did also like the idea of teachers observing other teachers more often.
ReplyDeletemaybe the teacher coach idea is based on this.
