Unfortunately no. American democracy, especially recently, isn't designed that way. The scope of the problems is too great, the will of the politicians is too small, and the attention span of the American citizen is too short. Problems in education will remain unsolved but largely debated
I don't think it is possible. I think both sides think of what will help them get elected and then most of the time, the "fix" for education they come up with is not possible or shot down by the other side.

ReplyDeleteMuch of it is about attention span. People want simple solutions that can be summarized in a 30 sec ad and implemented in a 4 year form.

ReplyDeleteI really don't know how one would even pin point what is broken. Just that it is a flawed system and always has been flawed.
