Are teachers scrutinized to be "perfect" in the public eye and be a teacher first at any and all times?

  1. Unquestionably there are higher public standards for teachers than other members of the workforce. In a manner of speaking, this is understandable. As a group of people who work with the impressionable and the young there is a higher standard endemic to the industry.

    1. I agree completely, yet when it comes to defending or taking care of my own family in certain situations, I disagree. I have to do what is best for my family/children first.

  2. There is certainly a double standard. When a teacher breaks any law the news says "teacher . . . " When a plumber, or electrician does it, the story says "Carroll man . . . "
