Are controversial personal views a fireable offense for teachers?

  1. With the power of teacher unions and the media, I think it would be pretty tough to fire a teacher. I do however think there would be a "blackballing" of that teacher by the administration. Applying for coaching jobs, administrative positions, etc would all of a sudden be difficult to get if your views were public.

  2. I think Tigges comment is childish at best.

I do believe that teachers are either "in" or "out" in the eyes of the adminstration based on their beliefs and statements.
