Bad teacher

If you were the administrator of a "bad" /incompetent teacher , how would you handle it? Would you fire them?

  1. You would owe it to your constituents to try and remove them from your classroom. Firing is the most difficult but it's possible if you want to wade thru the bureaucratic nightmare.

  2. I would try to help them first, but if that did not work I think we owe it to kids to have the best.

  3. Bob is correct. There are protocols to follow. That being said, how is incompetence measured...or documented?

  4. I feel there are protocols to follow and the teachers need guidance if not performing up to standard. Sometimes it is lack of communication on what is expected and each administrator has their own idea of the "perfect" teachers or classroom. And who is to say they are correct? A lot of times administrators have never taught the same subject.
